There are so many beers out there that are amazing. So many in fact, that it would be impossible for me to pick a favorite. People ask me all the time what my favorite is, and I usually respond “depends on the day.” Today, and almost any day i could drink Sierra Nevada’s Pale Ale. I still won’t claim it as my favorite beer, because I can’t pick one. But if i could only drink one beer for the rest of my life (which would suck) this would be the one…
For those of you who haven’t tried this beer, or this style, an American Pale Ale traditionally is deep golden in color, nice and malty, and aggressively hopped, in this case with Cascade hops which tend to give grapefruit and other citrus notes in the aroma and a nice clean bitter finish to the beer, balancing the sweetness of the malt. Sierra Nevada’s flagship beer follows this style to a T, and practically invented the style. I would encourage anybody who likes to try different styles of beer to give this beer a go..you won’t regret it.

As an avid beer drinker my self, I understand how it would be difficult to choose just one beer as your favorite. I too have the same trouble as I like to drink all types of beer. A typical trip for me to the liquor store to get a six pack could easily take me over half an hour as I like to scope out the selection and choose a brand i’ve never had before. There are a wide variety of beers for a reason, and I feel it is our job as beer drinkers to go out and explore this wonderful world of taste instead of just falling into a norm. I’ll give every beer at least one shot, and after reading this I definately will give Sierra Nevada Pale Ale a chance. Good Drinking!
As a guy who has never had a beer, this is kind of a helpful post. I’ve been asking and looking around for a beer that I might like for a few months now, and will definitely consider this one in the myriad of beer-related decisions I’m bound to make during the course of my life. I do see myself having a hard time finding one or two beers that I’ll drink exclusively (that meaning once in a while, haha). Regardless, it’s nice to have found a blog like this one where I can research about types of beer, types of glasses to drink beer from (nice!), and most everything else regarding this famous drink. I just hope I can “hold my own” after 2 beers.
